THE IDEA STARTED WITH PASSION.
Before PATLUNA, Wasif worked in a mobile repair shop. But fashion and clothes were always around him. He also worked in the garment industry when he was younger, which gave him an early understanding of how clothing is made.
Meanwhile, he gradually developed a taste for fashion, and his passion for modelling began to show. Even when he was on a budget, Wasif always had a habit of mixing things up; outfits that were different looked great and helped him stand out.
But there would be one thing that was always clear to him: he wanted to have his own business. As time went on, that ambition evolved into an intimate passion: fashion and bottomwear. And that’s how he decided to become a top bottomwear manufacturer in India.

BORN IN THE MANCHESTER OF INDIA.
The city of Ahmedabad boasts a long-standing history deeply embedded in textiles and garments, spanning from fabric sourcing and production to the expertise of its artisans and vibrant wholesale markets. For PATLUNA, it was the beginning of something bigger.
Wasif already had some experience in making clothes and had a keen interest in fashion. He was surrounded by good friends who had experience in the bottomwear making and denim industries. They decided that it was time to share their expertise, manufacturing experience, and market knowledge together in one brand.
The thought was not to establish another clothing brand, but to establish an assurance-based bottomwear-making business to offer brands, retailers, and bulk buyers the appropriate products, quality, and production support.
And that’s how PATLUNA was born.
